From a young age Miss Jakki has always had a talent for working with children and a dream of being a teacher. During her high school and college years, she studied early childhood development along with training in nutrition, meditation, and yoga. She then started a family and devoted the next seven years to being a stay at home mom with her 3 children. Her greatest accomplishment in life is being their mother, and her greatest gift has been the ability to stay at home and be with them.
When Miss Jakki was ready to get back to work, she heard about Raab Montessori Academy, and she immediately knew it was the opportunity she was looking for. She always instilled a sense of independence and Montessori theory with her own children, and it was the perfect fit. She finally had her “meant to be moment” and found the missing piece to her puzzle, and she knew immediately that she wanted to make a career of it. She spent the next year as a lead primary assistant and was afforded the opportunity to shadow and study the Montessori method and receive trainings on the materials, lessons, and theory.
Miss Jakki is enthusiastic about continuing to grow at RMA as well as earning her certification to eventually become a Montessori lead. She brings a sense of peacefulness and calm to the classroom that is unwavering, and she creates a very beautiful and well-designed classroom setup for the children to thrive in. Miss Jakki perfectly models the positive guidance with which every Montessori teacher must uphold. Her main goal every day is to nurture each child’s natural desire for knowledge, understanding, and respect.
